Had to reschedule 3 times within a year so they terminated her from going back. People parents have lives and schedules to. What a kick below the waste!

Does the therapist always tell me what I want to hear? No, because she's a good therapist. Does she require I be responsible and call if I can't keep an appointment and not excessively cancel appointments? Yes, it's a business. Any reasonable person should understand.

It is with sadness I write this review since up until this time, I was very pleased by the practioner at Estes. Two life situations came up since seeing this practioner for around seven months...one when my child was sick and another recent unavoidable situation. Anyone who works with families in the field of mental health SHOULD be aware unavoidable situations do happen on occasion. I am actually in the mental health field myself, and my son sees occupational therapists and speech therapists and we have never had a situation like this. We are conscientious parents who do not miss appointments unless we have to and who call to reschedule before the appointment when we do need to miss. After calling and rescheduling, my son needed his medication refilled, but the rescheduled appointment would leave him three weeks without medication... we tried to work with this practioner to no avail, I even called her leaving a message pleading with her to please not penalize my child for us having to reschedule. My husband called her and she informed him we are on thin ice since rescheduling twice (in seven months) and we were lucky she was squeezing him in in three weeks. She kept referring to their "policy" of rescheduling appointments. It appears Estes has no understanding or compassion for unfortunate circumstances. The practioner we see has left us in a very stressful situation where my child will be without his medication for three weeks, and she does not appear to care that he will suffer when school starts back a week before our rescheduled appointment. Since I will never again work with this agency, who simply abandons their clients if they dare to have life circumstances on three occasions that cause rescheduling, and who do not seem to mind leaving a child without medication for weeks, we have begged our pediatrician to refill the prescriptions until we can find services elsewhere. Thank heavens he has enough compassion for our child to prevent him from a gap in medication! A "mental health" agency that has such a rigid policy with NO exceptions for unavoidable, LEGITIMATE life circumstances that might cause occasional rescheduled appointments....appears to care far more for their punitive policy than the clients they are there to help and serve. I can no longer in good conscience recommend this agency to anyone (unless they can guarantee they will never have three illnesses or emergencies to cause this agency to abandon them for rescheduling, and possibly leave them without needed medication and services).

The staff is friendly when you are there. The male counselor (cannot recall his name, only seen him a few times) his really great. Monica is really nice to. However, they never answer their phones and the machines say they will call back within 72 hours. That is a lie they never call back. NEVER!! You literally have to drive all the way to Lewisport to make an appointment which is hard to do if you work full time. This so far to me is the only down fall.

No longer will see me because I supposedly was a no show when they never called me to remind me the day before like they usually do and I would contact them 24 hours ahead to let them know that I wouldn't be able to make it. And I live out of town now so it's harder to make the appointments when you forget when it's supposed to be because they called you on a weekend to "reschedule" and only told me once the reschedule date. So clearly not my fault. Wouldn't recommend to anybody!

Professional. courteous, knowledgeable. Truly seem to want to help.
